We Continue to Stay at Home due to Covid-19, May 4 - 10, 2020

We continued working on the fence around our small back yard.  It is a slow process, removing each board, 10 - 15 minutes wire brushing and rinsing each board, two coats of stain/paint on all four sides and both ends, and then reinstalling each board.  But it is good exercise and helps pass the time while we stay at home.

The board on the right is what the boards look like after all the wire brushing - a big change.

One day, while taking a break from working on the fence, I sat in the shade of the fence near the hummingbird feeder - while I was merely an arms length away, my presence did not deter the activity of the hummingbirds.

Among other locations, we hiked in Buffalo Park again, including a section of the Arizona Trail - and we learned that the idea for the trail from Mexico to Utah came from a Flagstaff teacher, Dale Shewalter.

We installed shelves in the garage.

We purchased and installed rods and blackout curtains in the master bedroom.

We still need to decide what to do with the three small windows on this wall - the pillows we now use block the light, but don't fit the decor.

I hiked past the Duck Pond which is part of the water treatment system here in Flagstaff.

I saw some excellent chalk drawings on the sidewalk nearby.

And we celebrated Mother's Day with a Zoom session with Ben and Megan.  I got Patty fresh flowers and chocolate croissants.

And we continue to mostly stay at home.
