In Flagstaff, we spent a couple of hours at the annual Hopi festival. Here is a short video and photo of one of the performances. There were about 40 artisans selling their handmade goods.

One of my days in Phoenix had an official high of 110 degrees but the sign at Walgreens showed 120 degrees. I had walked to two medical and one VA appointment that day, in spite of the heat.
On Sept. 11, Flagstaff had this display of flags representing those who were killed that day in 2001.
Piper and I went on many walks, both in the city and in the woods. Her portable water bowl came in very handy on hot days.
We installed some new shelves for Patty's cookbooks.
Piper really gets into digging when she is trying to get a squirrel.
We had to wash off the dirt when we got home.
Fall is coming and there is still lots of color in Flagstaff.
One day, we were on the FUTS trail that runs next to the Nature Preserve behind the Museum of Northern Arizona. We were within less than 50 feet from multiple deer and Piper did not even see them.
