Another Ten Days of Mostly at Home Due to Covid-19, July 28 - Aug. 7, 2020

I usually walk during daylight hours.  On one of my rare after dinner walks, I noticed a couple of streetlights were out.  Flagstaff is a Dark Sky City, so the lights are not as bright as most cities, so with a couple of lights out, it made my walk very dark in places.  City protocol requires the location and APS number so that the lights can be repaired.

Patty continued painting, this time the section of the master bathroom that has the two sinks and large shower.  She also did the guest bathroom.

Some days we have amazing sunsets.

One of my projects was to redo the storage space under the stairs.  There were a couple of locations where wires and cables were from the satellite antenna.  I removed the Ikea coat racks we had installed.

Then I removed the cables and patched holes, and painted over the repairs.

Finally, I added another shelve with rod for clothes on hangers, a rack for the ironing board and moved the Ikea coat racks to be more useful.

We have done burgers on the grill and enjoyed dinner on the patio.

All three bathrooms have now been painted and all four closets have been redone to allow for more storage, especially of clothes on hangers.  We marked and saved the paint cans for future reference.

The highlight of our summer was Megan having her FAA check ride and getting her PPL - Private Pilot License.  She was at the school from 4:30 until noon on Friday the 7th, then drove north to have a picnic lunch with us at Henry Cordes Park, just off I-17 near the Prescott AZ exit.

Arizona Covid-19 numbers are coming down, but from what I can see, some of that is due to fewer tests.  Numbers of deaths are still up, but that is a lagging indicator.  Hospital admissions, ICU patients and ventilator usage is down some - so these three items are good news.  All that said, we continue to use masks, don't go to restaurants (other than for takeout to eat at home or to eat in the car at Sonic Drive In) and have not invited other people to our house.
