Cape Meares State Park May 21, 2016

After visiting the Tillamook Forest Center, we drove into Tillamook, checked in to our hotel and then drove on to Cape Meares State Park and Wildlife Refuge on the coast, about ten miles from our hotel.

This is a beautiful park, with great views of the Pacific.

And it has an intact lighthouse to visit.

I came across these Queen Anne's Lace with a busy bee working on them.  I am surprised at how well the close up photos came out since it was just my cell phone.

After the lighthouse, we went to another part of the park where the Octopus Tree is located.  As the sign notes, they do not know what caused it to grow like this.
