Vaughan Town, Days 3 and 4, Tuesday and Wednesday Jan. 27 and 28

The Campus is on Rio Alberche.  When you exit the grounds through the security gate, you can turn left and cross the river.  On the other side, you can take your first right and go about a quarter of mile to a local bar/cafe and inn.  We made many trips there on one to one sessions - it is only a ten minute walk each way, allowing 30 minutes to sit and have a coffee, coke, beer or whatever.  Even in the winter it is quite nice and in the summer I am sure it is a beautiful place to have a vacation.  Along the river, there is a large area covered with prickly pear cactus and agave.  Paola works for Pfizer and splits her time between Lisbon and Madrid.  She worked for Wyeth for fourteen years until it was bought by Pfizer five years ago.

Paola was with me when we checked out the cactus and agave on the river.

Here are a few more views of the buildings on the beautiful campus.

On Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, after dinner I went with many of the Spaniards and some Anglos to the bar in the social club.  Drinks are very cheap, and the discussion flowed for many hours each evening.  By Wednesday, everyone was tired and no one went to the bar - everyone had to rest up for the Quemada and final social night on Thursday.
