On Monday, July 8, we drove the five hours to Gila, NM, stopping in Silver City for some grocery shopping. Bear Paw Ranch is on the East Side of Gila and is indeed located on the Gila River.
They have four houses/cabins to rent and we are in the Gate House.
Reading the intro materials in the cabin tells about the ranch. Our welcome included a dozen of their fresh duck eggs in the fridge, plus some history of the property and map to navigate the ranch.
For my birthday, Patty got me a very nice assortment of Casamigos margarita mixers and salt with a bottle of Three Amigos anejo tequila. Of course, we had to sample and enjoyed a large, frosty cool one with lunch - it eases the pain of turning 70 years old.
I am very fortunate to be in good health and still married to the same lovely woman.
