Waiting nine months to write these posts is too long - I need to get back to writing them much close into to the trip. The big thing in Edingurgh is the royal palace.
Going down the main street from the castle brings you to the rest of the historical locations in the city.
While Ben was doing other things, I did visit a small museum that honored Scottish authors.
Then it was on to other spaces and museums.
Then we wandered down the main street.
There was a nice museum that showed the history of labor unions.
We got to go on a tour of the Scottish Parliament building.
Later while walking, among other things we came across this school event with animals.
And I went to see the Christmas lights and the museum at the Edinburgh Botanical Garden.
Saturday, it was the train ride back to London. I chose to go stay at my hotel and have a quiet dinner, while Ben went out to dinner with some doctors he met at the conference. Sunday morning, we met up at the airport and then took our separate flights back to the USA, Ben to San Francisco and on to Portland, me to Houston and on to Phoenix.
