We started our day with a quick team meeting outside the hotel.
We split into two groups when we arrived at the work site and spent the morning building the walls. Did I mention that those blocks got heavier as the walls got taller? Here is the morning progress on the house where I was working.
This is what we are hoping to be by the time we finish.
Here is the morning's progress on the other house being built by our team.
For lunch, we went back to the same restaurant in the town near the build site. We had khuushuuh (I think that is how it is spelled - the k is silent) - it is a pastry that was filled with ground mutton, rice and onions.
We spent a long afternoon and have nearly got the walls completed.
And here is the second house.
Back at my house, I cut the headers and they were cemented in place and then we started putting cut blocks on top of the headers to finish the walls.
Here are a couple more shots of what the finished house will look like.
And here is our other house just before we ended for the day.
Here are Peter and I, two of the old men at the worksite. Peter's wife works in Ulaanbaatar, but his visa does not authorize him to work in Mongolia - so he volunteers with Habitat. We were both pretty tired after a busy day.
After hot showers, we had a team meeting and got our locally produced team shirts. And then a group dinner at the hotel - I think everyone was in their room before 10:30.

Great progress. Thanks to you and your entire team.
