February 2017: Phoenix and back to Portland

We hiked some more at Cave Creek park.

I volunteered more on the wall of Gabion cages at the Desert Botanical Garden.

Hiked in the Phoenix Mountain Preserve.

Hiked in the White Tanks park.

Hiked in South Mountain Park to and through Telegraph Lookout Pass.

And then it was back to Portland.  Patty and I spent a day at Fort Vancouver, with time inside the replica of the Hudson Bay Company's fort that burned down in the 1860s - the replica was built in the 1970s.

Winter is rainy season in Portland, so all of our hikes involved rain and mud.

The People's March in Portland was organized by local unions.  I participated and like the Women's March in Phoenix, it was a peaceful protest against Trump and his minions.

Patty and I went on more hikes.

We tried to have Sunday brunch on a rainy Sunday - we stood in line at the Screen Door restaurant, but never got in.  So we walked to another restaurant a couple of blocks away.

Patty and I ended the month with a return visit to Powell Butte Park.
