Thursday was a day of exploring. I found that an "old artillery bastion" had been preserved when they built the new Galeria Dominikańska, a huge four story shopping mall near the city center. Both the mall and the keeping of the bastion were impressive.
I was told that fresh flowers were important in Poland. Among other places, I found one of the plazas or squares that had a permanent, year round, outdoors flower market. It was open every day, including the days when it was snowing.
I also found more places where the city had posted pictures of what the place looked like at the end of WWII in 1945 so that you can compare what it looks like today.
And all that exploring on foot works up an appetite for an afternoon snack of a strawberry tart and a large latte.
