More winerys on Wednesday April 6 and on to Portland on Thursday April 7

We enjoyed breakfast each morning in the elegantly decorated dining room of the White House Inn.

Continuing Patty's birthday celebration, we drove to Healdsburg (I was the DD so Patty could sample all she wanted) to visit the only wine tasting room operated by La Crema.  Patty and I learned much about La Crema and their wines, and sampled many of them.  She bought five bottles of different wines and joined the La Crema Wine Club.

We had lunch in downtown Healdsburg and then drove east to Stonestreet Winery and Vineyard.  Because of the referral from La Crema, Patty got a free glass of wine and bought a couple bottles of some very good wine.  And then we headed south back towards Napa and stopped at the Beringer Winery.  We were too late for a tour, but we could still wander the grounds - an amazing estate celebrating 140 years of operation there.

Then it was back to the White House Inn, a brief respite and then out for dinner at Velo Pizza in downtown Napa before our last night at the White House Inn.

Thursday, we got all of our luggage back into the van, grabbed some coffee, scones and muffins, and got on the road just after 8:00.  After a stop at Home Depot to pick up a new air conditioner for our bedroom, we arrived in Portland around 7:30 for dinner with Ben and Martha, and emptied the van contents into our new home.  The next phase of the adventure begins.
