We made some changes to the master bedroom suite. The king size mattress was purchased in late 2005 and it was time to replace it. This time we kept the kingsize bed frame but got two extra long twin mattresses, one with a soft, plush top (about 16 inches thick) and one extra firm (about 12 inches thick). As they say, opposites attract.
We spent the weekdays painting the walls. We had started back in the spring before leaving to escape the heat, but had only done about 1/4 of the room.
We took out the old cabinets in the office nook and painted it, both above and below the built-in desk top.
Ben arrived on Saturday and on Sunday he helped me install the new cabinets.
And then the painting was finished.
The only thing left is installing the old file cabinet under the built- in desktop, and then later this winter, redoing the bathroom.
