Angloville Part III, Exploring around Lipowy Most, Poland, Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018

Tuesday, I headed out in a different direction, heading back on the road we drove in to Lipowy Most.  On the bus, it had been a quick bumpy ride through the woods.  Walking the same route, there was much more to see.

A developer apparently has made plans to sell lots for building homes, which must be why I see the newer vacation homes.

There was a shrine to the Virgin Mary near the for sale sign but there were no homes nearby.

As I continued on I could see that there were a couple of homes along road, but they were about 100 meters back from the road.

The forest appears to be actively managed, with areas clear cut and then replanted, and fenced in with a tall fence to keep deer away from the new trees.

Back at the hotel, I noticed that the pond was marked "no swimming" - this in spite of a path to the water's edge from the hotel's sauna and hot tub.

On a later walk with Agnes, I saw that the river in town is posted with this sign with some rules about fishing.

We found time to walk on the side road that had a sign for the pensionjat or boarding house - it appears to be some type of newly built inn for hunters and is called 3 Sarny (3 Deer).  Because of the time, we did not quite reach there nor the nice new home nearby.

After lunch, I went for a walk with Basia during free time.  We made it to 3 Sarny and discovered that there appears to be rooms to rent in several of the buildings, plus a sauna, picnic area and open space.  It appears to be brand new but there was no sign of human life there.

Another good day of exploring the area around our hotel.
